BBQ at my place!

Yeah we are planning to have a BBQ at mine and Ben's place on October 3rd at 6:30. Let me know if you want to bring something or I might ask you to bring something. And bring your husbands/boyfriends if you can. I think we should play that DVD game again, Boys against girls even though us girls sucked, we can beat them this time! It was a blast! Love you gals!

GET TOGETHER!

Hey!

I don't know if Minna is still going to plan a BBQ on Friday October 3rd. But I think we should either get together and do that... or have a girls night! I really want to see everyone! Is October 3rd ok for you all?

(Let me know by leaving a comment whether it is good or not)

Updates from the Cannons

Hey girls!

So here is what has been happening the last little while in Chris and I's lives.

Chris is going to Devry University and is majoring in Computer Networking and Management. He is very smart with technology so he is doing very well. Right now he has a 4.0! All of his classes are online right now so it is very flexible. He has to read, write, and watch all his lectures on the computer so he spends lots of time in the office.

I have been pretty busy at my work. In April, I became a Charge Nurse which is like a mini manager for our unit. I am in charge of about 10 people making sure they are doing their required education and dealing with any issues that come up. We are having evaluations in October so I am getting ready for that. In addition to that roll, I am also a professional preceptor which means that I train new staff. That can be challenging at times especially because everyone has different learning styles. Also, I have a specialty roll on my unit in Neurological and Development for kids under 2. So that keeps me busy with meetings and projects. Needless to say, my job keeps me very busy.

Chris and I went to San Diego with Katie and Ted in May. It was supposed to be Hawaii, but with Aloha air going under and all, there were no stand-by seats left for us. So we flew to San Diego instead. It was a nice trip. We went to Sea World, the Wild Animal Park, and Old Town.

In August I went to Huntington Beach with my family. Chris was all set to go, but got a toothache the day before we were supposed to leave so we took him to the dentist and he said he would probably need a root canal. Luckily he just needed a crown. But he had to stay home to await a cancellation so they could get him in ASAP. But I went with my family, which was really nice because Jill went and I never get to see her. We went to the beach, Disneyland, and we tried surfing one day. It was my first time, and I couldn't quite stand up. But I think with practice it would come. Kinda like snowboarding.

That's pretty much all I can think of right now.

New Blog!

Hey Ladies!

I know that none of you are probably used to this whole blogging thing. But I have had my own blog since April (inspired by my sister and a few other friends). It has really been fun to find people and read about their lives.

Well, recently I have re-connected with some girls that I grew up with through this blogging world and I feel like I see and talk to them more often then I talk to you all! Which makes me sad since we used to see each other so often!

I know that we are all very busy in our lives, but I thought most of us have some sort of Internet access (Work, home, Mom and Dad's) so if you are checking your email, stop by this blog and see how everyone is doing.

You can also post or make comments (below) so we know you stopped by.

I just have been thinking about you all and missing you lots lately. So this is my effort to stay connected to all my very close friends so we don't lose contact.

Love you!

Lisa
